FCC outlines Microsoft Zune features
Documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission revealed some important information about the upcoming Microsoft Zune player. First off, several pictures were revealed in the FCC filings confirming earlier rumored pictures as to what the Zune would look like. Sure enough, the Zune is being manufactured by Toshiba which is also a popular manufacturer of the Portable Media Center based Gigabeat S.
One of the more interesting features of the Zune player is the ability for users to stream music content to up to four other devices via wireless networking. Users will also be able to send and receive photos via this DJ like feature. Zune owners will have the ability to stream music to anyone or just friends on their list of contacts.
Draft user manuals show that the Zune player will support 802.11b and g wireless standards and will also feature a 30GB HDD, a 3 inch screen, an FM tuner, and USB 2.0 connectivity.
