Microsoft has posted a picture of what the Microsoft Zune marketplace GUI will look like. Based on the early look - it appears that the Zune marketplace will definitely take place outside of the realms of Windows Media Player. The left side of the GUI allows you to control the various aspects of music, video, and photos. Here it appears you can manage your playlists, your music library and gain access to the online Zune marketplace. You’ll be able to sort and search music content online via the charts, artists, albums, songs, genre, and year.
There’s an interesting “journal” feature which we’ve yet to hear anything about but we’re guessing it’s a way for you to write about your content. Perhaps it’s a blog type feature for your content that others would be able to read. Keep in mind we’re purely speculating right now.
The main portion of the Zune marketplace GUI shows off tons of graphics and text for the music tracks in your particular selection. The bottom portion shows the same user interface found on the Zune - reverse, play, and foward.
