Comparing various Zune sites - how did we measure up? In a word - Ouch..
Laurence Timms of the “the laurence timms state machine” blog has written up an article detailing the various Zune websites popping up all over the net. He’s categoried the websites into two bins - one called “Worth Visiting” and one called “pants”. (yes.. you don’t want to be in the pants section). Unfortunately that’s where ZuneSphere.com ended up. OUCH. Alright.. I’m ok with that since we’re still fairly new to the whole scene - though I’d like to think we’re publishing useful content for people to read every now and then! Oh well! We’ll just have to keep getting better than!
So folks - if you enjoy reading this site, please keep coming back and also please spread the word. More importantly, offer up feedback by sending us comments to news@zunesphere.com. Many thanks for visiting!

Guys, I can see you’re trying. Originally I was going to rate all the Zune sites from 0 to 5 (and I can tell you, there were a lot of zeroes) but I quickly realised that most sites were just blogging the same stuff over and again.
So then I just focussed on the sites that went beyond that, and not many made the cut. That’s why you ended up pants.
But I will come back and visit again in a few weeks and see if you’ve nosed ahead of the competiton.

Not a problem! I find the critique very useful actually. It’s good to see what sites are useful and what sites are frankly not interesting at all. Sometimes I wonder whether we should have a forums section here to allow people to express their thoughts and what not. A blog is nice for us authors to rant and rave but it doesn’t really give you the reader the opportunity to post your own thoughts. Perhaps we’ll need to explore that route someday. But in any event, thanks for the article and we’ll endeavor to make ourselves better over time.
