Microsoft Zune side by side with Apple iPod

If you’ve been wondering what the side by side comparisons would be like between the Microsoft Zune and the Apple iPod, then you should check out the pictures taken over at Jake Ludington’s MediaBlab. He got his hands on a Zune and took some shots of it alongside an 80GB Apple iPod. As you can expect, the Zune is a bit longer, wider, and thicker than the iPod, yet it actually seems to weigh a bit less.

The difference in screen sizes is probably the most dramatic difference between the two players. It’ll be interesting to see where Microsoft takes the Zune in the months to come as video support gets more mature in places like the Zune Marketplace.
