Photo courtesy of Zune Guy If you’re like me, then you’re probably a user of both Windows Media Center and the Microsoft Zune. One of the main disappointments of the Zune was the lack of direct support for Windows Media Center recorded television content. While support for such content existed in other portable media center devices, Microsoft chose to remove such support (probably to simplify the initial launch of the Zune) for the Zune.

However, hope is not lost folks - Bill Wittress published an article earlier in the month on his website Zune Guy on how to get DVR-MS content onto the Zune. The key is to convert the DVR-MS files into WMV files (which the Zune does support) and this can be done using a tool called DCut.

Check out the blog posting here. I’ll try this out later today if I can (not sure of it’s support for Windows Vista though..)

[Check it out]
